Coupled Thermal-Structural Analysis
Kalsi Engineering (KEI)™ is capable of performing Thermal Finite Element Analyses (FEA) based on a priori convection coefficients or by coupling the FEA and CFD models. Both techniques can be used to determine the temperature distribution throughout a component. The temperature distribution can be used to evaluate thermal strain, thermal distortion, or interference due to uneven thermal growth due to materials with varying thermal properties.
