Rotary Seal Literature
Extra Wide Hybrid Kalsi Seal™
The Extra Wide Hybrid Seal™ was developed so that sealed bearing mud motor assemblies can benefit from the advantages of a much wider dynamic sealing lip. The advantages include increased structural strength and pressure capacity, and additional sacrificial material to counteract wear mechanisms such as extrusion damage and abrasive wear.
Axially Constrained Kalsi Seals™
The Axially Constrained Seal™ provides improved abrasion resistance in applications having little or no differential pressure. Available for radial gland depths of 0.250” and 0.309”. Widely used as an oilfield mud motor balancing piston seal.
Kalsi Rotary Seal Brochure
This four-page brochure provides a brief overview of Kalsi Engineering and Kalsi-brand rotary shaft seals, which are used in drilling mud motors, oilfield rotary steerable tools, high pressure coring swivels, and other abrasive service equipment.
Cement Pump Seal Cartridge
A pump seal cartridge that provides improved reliability and longer life in oilfield well cementing service. The rotary seals hydroplane on a film of oil to reduce seal-generated heat. A special purpose seal serves as a pump that flushes a pair of lip seals.

Hydraulic Swivel Seals
This brochure outlines recommended practices for using Kalsi-brand swivel seals in multi-circuit high pressure side port-type hydraulic swivels.
Low Breakout Friction Seals
An optional surface treatment reduces the breakout torque of HNBR seals. This treatment was developed for applications that are sensitive to breakout torque, such as underwater vehicles, oilfield rotary steerable tools, and rotary control devices.
Filled Kalsi Seals™
A soft integral energizer significantly reduces seal-to-shaft contact pressure, breakout torque, and running torque.
Mining Seal Brochure
Kalsi Seals are used in various severe service rock cutting applications, such as mining, coring, utility drilling, and well drilling. Seals with extra wide dynamic lips are now available to provide a significant increase in sacrificial material.
